Plant Engineer

Job Description:
While a background in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, we are open to candidates with Electrical Engineering expertise as well.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a hands-on, heavy industrial environment and be willing to get their hands dirty to drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Design, plan, install, and maintain plant facilities, mechanical and electrical equipment, and systems
Continually evaluate, monitor, and improve processes and systems
Provide technical consultation and support to maintenance and operations departments
Plan and manage execution of capital projects, including associated budgets and training
Coordinate activities of contractors, suppliers, consultants, and insurance representatives
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Additional Requirements:
Experience in heavy industrial environments preferred
Comfortable with hands-on work and getting dirty
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
10-15 years of relevant experience in a heavy industrial setting
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills
CAD and blueprint experience required
Reliability Centered Maintenance training a plus
Experience in development and implementation of process improvements
Capital project management experience required
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to engage people and lead through change
Good follow-through skills and attention to detail required
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Project
Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards
.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
